Privacy notice

This notice explains how we handle the personal information you give us through our enquiry forms, email and WhatsApp.

Who we are

What we collect

Your name, phone number, and optionally your email address; your vehicle details (registration, make, model, year) and any photos you send us; the service you need, your description of the problem and your preferred days; and whether you're happy to be contacted on WhatsApp.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry, offer a slot and arrange your booking. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To contact you on WhatsApp, only if you tick the box. Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by telling us.

We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell them.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for [12 months, TO CONFIRM] after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer, in which case we keep records as needed for the job and for legal and accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run this website and deliver your enquiry to us: Cloudflare (website hosting and form processing), Resend (which sends form messages to our inbox) and our email provider (Google Workspace). They act on our instructions. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use tracking or analytics. Images are hosted on our own site.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@simpletask.org.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
